With so many decadent sweets, sometimes a simple, clean smoothie might be just what you’re looking for. This recipe has a smooth, creamy texture with a slight ginger kick that will help get your morning off to a healthy start.

MAKES: 2 SERVINGS
SERVING SIZE: 11FL OZ (320ml)
1⁄2 large avocado, sliced
1⁄2 cup (75g/2.3oz) fresh strawberries, sliced
1⁄4 cup (5g/0.15oz) fresh mint, roughly chopped
1 thumb-sized piece of fresh ginger, thinly sliced
1⁄2 tsp ground cinnamon
1⁄4 tsp ground cardamom
Juice of 1⁄2 lime
2 cups (15.5fl oz/460ml) unsweetened almond milk
1. Combine the ingredients in a large blender.
2. Blend on high for 1 minute or until the mixture is smooth and creamy. Serve promptly.
Tip Garnish the top of the glass with a few whole strawberries or wet the inside of the glass and place a few thinly sliced strawberries on the sides of the glass prior to pouring the smoothie into the glass.
