1 Heat gas or charcoal grill. In large bowl, mix beef, onion and pepper. Shape into 12 patties, ¾ inch thick.
2 Place patties on grill over medium heat. Cover grill; cook 13 to 15 minutes, turning once, until meat thermometer inserted in center of patties reads 160°F. During last 2 minutes of cooking, place buns, cut side down, on grill until toasted.
3 Place burgers on bottom halves of buns. Top each burger with 4 teaspoons dressing and 2 pieces of bacon. Cover with top halves of buns.
