You Are the Automotive Technician

A 2014 Chevy Cruze comes into your repair facility with the complaint of a check engine light. You as the technician must be able to determine what type of on-board diagnostic system is on the vehicle. How would you go about finding out what type of system is on the vehicle?

  1. Look at the vehicle title to get this information.
  2. Find the Vehicle Emission Control Information (VECI) label on the vehicle.
  3. Ask the customer.
