APPROXIMATE TIME:
45 minutes
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
+ Long piece of ½-inch PVC pipe and assorted ½-inch T-connectors and elbows
+ Mini marshmallows
+ Hacksaw
1. Cut your PVC pipe into several lengths: one eight-inch piece, three five-inch pieces, two three-inch pieces.
PRO TIP: To cut your PVC pipe, you can use any saw (like a hacksaw). For best results, get your hands on a PVC cutter specifically designed for the job.
2. Using a T-connector, connect the eight-inch pipe to one of the five-inch pipes.
PRO TIP: As you connect your pipes, make sure they are clean and completely smooth on the inside since the marshmallows are gravity-fed and need to slip through easily to the gun.
3. Use another T-connector to connect the five-inch pipe to a three-inch pipe.
4. Connect the other two five-inch pipes to the open bottom of the T-connectors.
5. Add an elbow to the three-inch pipe and place the other three-inch pipe onto that.
6. Connect another elbow to the last three-inch pipe.
ALSO TRY: Use a tapered drill bit to widen your pipes and ensure a large enough opening.
Ready to fire! Place mini marshmallow in the elbow opening and blow. The marshmallow should shoot out.
PRO TIP: Something you might notice is that there is no standardized size of marshmallow. Use the smaller ones that can go through any twist or turn of the pipes.
IT DOESN’T END HERE! A marshmallow gun is a device that can always be upgraded and taken to the next level. Get creative and design your pipes to give you the sleekest look and the best shooting effect.
