Moisten Your Cabbage with Salt
While shredded, fresh cabbage seems very dry and bland, it actually has a very high moisture content. Salt pulls water from things, so when you mix salt into your cabbage and let it sit for a while, you’ll notice all sorts of juices coming out of the cabbage. Using salt is an easy, zero-calorie way to add some flavor and moisture to your cabbage dishes.
