What Is Kefir, Anyway?

Many believe that kefir is similar to quality yogurts because it contains healthy probiotics that are good for your gut. This is true, but there’s more to the story. Kefir also contains yeast and the types of good bacteria that can actually remain in your gut and help you maintain a healthy digestive environment. In contrast, regular yogurt just passes through without providing many benefits.
