Bread Machine Multigrain Loaf

Bread machines are wonderful appliances that make homemade bread an everyday luxury.

INGREDIENTS YIELD: 1 LOAF

1 cup warm water

½ cup milk

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

2½ cups bread machine mix

½ cup whole-wheat flour

1 cup crushed flaked multigrain cereal

1. Place all ingredients in a greased bread-machine pan in order listed, or the order recommended by your machine’s manufacturer.

2. Select Whole Wheat Cycle with Medium Crust Color, and let the machine work. When done, remove bread from machine and let cool on wire rack.

Bread Machines

There are many different kinds of bread machines on the market. The older models made a high, narrow loaf, but the newer models make loaves that look like the bread you get in the bakery. Follow directions in the instruction booklet. Most machines call for layering ingredients, starting with the wet ingredients.
