Molten Chocolate Cakes
These decadent little cakes have a warm, gooey chocolate center. Serve them with chocolate ice cream for a chocoholic’s dream!
INGREDIENTS | SERVES 12
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
½ cup milk chocolate chips
½ cup butter
2 eggs
4 egg yolks
1 (18.25-ounce) package dark chocolate cake mix
½ cup milk chocolate chips, ground
2 tablespoons chocolate syrup
2 tablespoons heavy cream
1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Spray 12 nonstick muffin cups with nonstick baking spray containing flour and set aside.
2. In small saucepan, combine both kinds of chips with butter; melt over low heat, stirring occasionally, until smooth. Cool for 10 minutes.
3. In large bowl, beat eggs and egg yolks at high speed for 5 minutes until light yellow. Add chocolate cake mix and ground milk chocolate chips alternately with syrup and heavy cream, beating just until combined. Fold in melted chocolate.
4. Divide batter among muffin cups. Bake for 13 to 17 minutes or until edges are set. Cool muffin cups on wire rack for 3 minutes, then run a knife around the edge of each and invert onto serving plate. Serve immediately.
