A story is not really complete until it has a reader or sometimes a listener. So thank you for being one of those who has allowed my story to come to life in your imagination through the magic of words. I’ve loved words and books ever since I can remember and dreamed of being a writer from a young age. I am blessed that my dream became reality.
But to have my stories end up in a beautiful book like the one you’re holding right now takes a team. I owe much gratitude to my agent, Wendy Lawton, for always having an encouraging word and being ready to help with whatever I need. She’s the best. My editor, Lonnie Hull DuPont, has been a gift to me ever since she liked Scent of Lilacs enough to take me into the Revell family. And thank you, Barb Barnes, for careful editing that irons out kinks in my writing. I appreciate the art department that comes up with fabulous covers. Thanks, Gayle Raymer, for your attention to detail. Karen Steele and Michele Misiak are always ready to answer questions and find ways to get my book out to readers. I appreciate you both so much, along with all those at Revell Books who do the things behind the scenes to make my stories into books. I visited Baker Publishing Group last year and saw smiles at every turn from those who work there.
I also thank my family for all the support through the years as I’ve followed my writing dream. My husband has been ever patient as I spend hours with imaginary people doing imaginary things. My children grew up to the sound of a typewriter, and now my grandchildren are reading my books. Blessings all around.
The Lord granted the desires of my heart by giving me stories to share with you. To God be the glory (Gal. 1:5).
