NOAH
I’ve had a late night at work, ironically doing a stakeout of sorts for a new client. I am ready to crawl into bed with my beautiful wife and do unspeakable things to her delectable body. But when I get into our bedroom she’s sitting up in bed crying.
“Darlin’, what’s the matter?” I rush to her, wipe her tears with my thumbs.
“I look like a sea cow.”
I fight the urge to smile because damned if Poppy isn’t funny as hell even when she’s sad. “You look like my beautiful wife.” I gently push her back so she’s laying against her pillow. Then I lay my head on her rounded stomach. “And your body is busy growing our son. That does not make you a sea cow. That makes you a miracle.”
She sniffs loudly. “I’m only going to get bigger.”
“I’ll have more of you to love.”
“You can’t charm your way out of every situation.” She frowns at me.
“Darlin’ let’s not fight. I came home ready to do wicked things to you. If you’re not in the mood, I can rub your feet instead.”
She gives me a look that makes it impossible for me to not laugh.
I kiss her forehead, then her lips. “I love you, Poppy.”
“I love you too, sexy cowboy. Now why don’t you tell me what you had in mind for tonight.” Her hand absently rubs across her pregnant belly.
“I think I could start at your ears and work my way down, or start at your toes and work my way up, but either way I’m planning to use my tongue and spend a lot time on your sweet, sweet pussy.”
She whips off her nightgown, then lays back all the way. “Do your worst.”
