Stephanie Burgis has lived in Michigan, Vienna, and Yorkshire, and now lives in Wales, surrounded by castles and coffee shops, with her husband, fellow writer Patrick Samphire, their two children, their sweet old border collie mix, and thousands of books.
She is the author of a trilogy of MG Regency fantasy novels beginning with Kat, Incorrigible, a follow-up YA novella, Courting Magic, and the upcoming MG novel The Dragon with a Chocolate Heart (which will be published by Bloomsbury Books in 2017 in both the US and UK). She is also the author of two romantic historical fantasy novels for adults, Masks and Shadows and Congress of Secrets.
Her first book, Kat, Incorrigible, won the Waverton Good Reads Award for Best Début Children’s Novel by a British Author under its British title, A Most Improper Magick.
