 Who Am I?

  1. As a child, I exhibited the three indicators of a possible future serial killer: bed-wetting, fire setting, and cruelty to animals.
  2. In all likelihood I was born with a congenital mental illness, but this condition was greatly exacerbated by my constant drug abuse.
  3. I developed rabid hypochondria. My delusions included thinking that my heart stopped beating on occasion, that my stomach was in backward, and that there were bones growing out of the back of my head.
  4. As my psychotic behavior worsened, I began to think my heart was shrinking. I felt this could only be remedied by drinking blood. I began killing and disemboweling rabbits. I would eat the intestines raw and drink the blood.
  5. I was institutionalized as a paranoid schizophrenic but eventually released. Back on the street, my craving for blood continued. I began stealing neighborhood pets. Cats and dogs became the new objects of my bloodlust.
  6. In time, I graduated to human prey, killing people to get their blood. Two of my victims were women whom I savagely mutilated, pulling out their intestines and drinking their blood.
  7. With six victims in my wake, the FBI was brought in to do a profile. I would turn out to be a classic disorganized killer, with little planning of the murders and even less regard for covering my tracks. The details of the profiling would prove uncannily accurate and would lead to my arrest.
  8. A search of my apartment was like something out of a nightmare. A blender and glasses stained with blood. Body parts, pieces of bone, and brain tissue in jars and on plates in the refrigerator. Everything reeked of rot and decomposition.
  9. The defense had asked for second-degree murder charges to reflect my obvious insanity, but the jury felt I knew right from wrong and found me guilty of six counts of first degree murder. I was sentenced to be executed in the gas chamber at San Quentin.
  10. While on death row, I committed suicide in my prison cell by overdosing on antidepressant pills I had secretly saved up for weeks.
