Inventor's Lab BUILD A MOVING FORCE MACHINE
You can experiment with the forces of gravity by making a moving machine.
MATERIALS
- » Empty spool for thread
- » Rubber band
- » Metal washer
- » Pencil
- » Tape
- » Toothpick
Slip the rubber band through the center of the spool. Place the toothpick through one loop of the rubber band and tape it down. Break off the ends of the toothpick so it doesn’t extend beyond the edges of the spool.
On the other end of the rubber band, slip on the washer and then put the pencil through the rubber band loop. Wind up the pencil until the rubber band is tight. Then put the spool on the table, and watch your motion machine go.
