1. Talk about why Shaena was acting mean toward her friends and teammates. Look back at the text and then explain her reasons in your own words.
2. Because sports are physical activities, injuries sometimes happen. There are ways to play safely so that you can lower the risk of getting hurt, however. Talk about what you could do to avoid getting injured while playing sports. If you have time, trying researching sports safety and compare your answers.
3. In the story, we find out a lot about how Shaena felt. How do you think Jessie felt throughout the story? How about Marisol? What in the text makes you think that?
