Walter Mikac is the Co-founder and Patron of the Alannah & Madeline Foundation, formed in honour of his two daughters and their mother who were killed at the Port Arthur massacre. Following the tragedy, Walter successfully lobbied then Prime Minister the Hon John Howard and other government heads to bring about reforms to the national gun laws. He now works as a pharmacist, motivational speaker and is the author of To Have And To Hold and The Circle of Life: Replacing Hardship with Love.
