Day 25

Our group went to the Overworld. Crossing the border wasn’t an issue, as the Immigration Agents knew us.

“Agent Scott and Norma,” I said.

“Welcome back, Detective. What brings you back to our border?” Scott asked.

“We’re on a mission. Have you heard about the Nether Dragon that showed up in Crimson City?” Peter asked him.

“A what?”

“Nether Dragon?” Norma wondered. “No one has told us anything yet”

“We did hear some commotion down there in the Red Forest, but we can’t leave our posts. Besides, we live right here by the border,” Scott said.

“Really? Well then, let me tell you something. There is a Nether Dragon currently in the Nether,” I said. “However, there’s no need to be afraid. The creature did not come to attack us. In fact it came to ask for help.”

“Why would a Dragon need our help?” Scott wondered.

“Anyway, here’s the deal. Keep the border open, and please send my father a letter. Tell him to open up the city again. The citizens are free to come and go as they please. Tell him that I am explicitly asking him to ignore the previous warnings. The Nether Dragon does not pose any danger to Crimson City. Do you understand?”

“Sure… got it.” Agent Scott picked up a piece of paper and started writing. “Anything else?”

“That should be all for now and one last thing,” I handed them the machine built by David. “Please tell him to release David Park. Ask the Police Officers from the Police Station to escort him back to the Nether Portal. In the meantime, please keep this machine safe here. We will need to use it later.”

“So you did find the missing scientist, after all. That’s wonderful,” Norma said.

“Yes, let him go back to the Overworld. We will see about penalties at a later time. David Park needs to rest for now,” I said.

“Roger that, Detective,” Scott replied.

“Thank you both so much. We’re on our way to the Overworld now.”

“Here, Detective. Take as much as you need,” Agent Norma gave us some Overworld Potions.

“There’s no need for that, thank you. I have plenty of Overworld Potions at the lab,” Beatriz said.

We entered the Nether Portal and crossed to the Overworld. On the other side the Border Patrol seemed surprised to see our group together once again.

“The Nether Detectives and the Armstrongs. Whenever I see you four together I know you guys are up to something,” the Border Patrol Agent joked.

“You’re right about that.” Johansson replied. “We’re going to the Stronghold.”

“The Stronghold, huh? I see you want to have a good ol’ fight against the Ender Dragon. Have fun.” The Agent said.

“Thank you,” Johansson replied.

“Do you guys know where the Stronghold is?” I asked them.

“Of course. The Stronghold is public knowledge in Minerland. It was first found many years ago. Since then they even built a railway track leading up to the structure,” Johansson said.

“Going to The End and defeating the Ender Dragon has become a cultural event for the citizens of Minerland. Everyone must do it at least once in their lives,” Beatriz said.

“Great. I’m not a citizen of Minerland, but I am looking forward to defeating the Dragon.” Peter said.

“I thought you were scared?” I asked him.

“I was, but now I’m full of courage.” Peter replied.

Our group was ready to face the Ender Dragon and capture him for the Nether Dragons.
