Joy Perrine is a native of New Jersey, but that hasn’t stopped her from developing an abiding love of Kentucky bourbon. She has been named “Best Bartender in Louisville” by Louisville Magazine and has won numerous awards for her cocktails. Articles about her and her drinks recipes have appeared in the Louisville Courier-Journal, Southern Living, and at www.southernfoodways.com. She is the bar manager emerita at Equus and Jack’s Lounge in Louisville.
Susan Reigler is an award-winning former restaurant critic and drinks writer for the Louisville Courier-Journal. Her articles about bourbon have been published in Malt Advocate and Wine Enthusiast as well as in several books about traveling in Kentucky. She is the author of Kentucky Bourbon Country: The Essential Travel Guide and coauthor, with Michael Veach, of The Bourbon Tasting Notebook. She lives in Louisville and has served on the board of directors, including as president, of the Bourbon Women Association.
