1. CLEAN YOUR hands.
2. COVER YOUR mouth when you cough.
3. STAY AT home when you have a fever.
4. GET IMMUNIZED.
5. DON’T TAKE antibiotics when you are sick with a virus.
6. COOK FOODS to a safe temperature (see page 150), especially meat and seafood.
7. WASH FOODS thoroughly, especially produce that is eaten raw.
8. FREQUENTLY CLEAN cutting boards, counters, doorknobs, toys — any and all surfaces where bugs may linger.
9. DON’T USE soap or detergents with antibacterial agents.
10. USE CONDOMS.
