A dairy-free chocolate sauce that will satisfy any chocolate craving. Add a drizzle to vanilla ice cream, plain cake, or waffles. It’s great for making chocolate almond milk, too.
Whisk together 1 cup water, the cocoa powder, sweetener, and salt in a saucepan. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and simmer until the mixture thickens up a little, about 10 minutes. Remove from the heat and stir in the vanilla.
Notes
You can add 1 tablespoon more sweetener at a time as needed, if you prefer it to be sweet.

Strawberry sauce drizzled over ice cream or cheesecake makes those desserts much more appealing, and with only 3 net grams of carbs, it won’t have too much impact. It’s also ideal for making strawberry shortcake.
Place the strawberries in a medium saucepan. Add ½ cup water and the sweetener and gently stir to blend. Bring to a simmer and cook just until the berries have softened, about 10 minutes.
The sauce can be served warm or chilled. Store, covered, in the refrigerator for up to a week.
