Frying cabbage in bacon fat makes it so tasty, especially when pieces of bacon are added into the mix. This is sure to become a regular dish you’ll enjoy over and over.
Add the bacon, onion, and garlic to a large skillet over medium heat and cook, stirring, until the onion is tender and the bacon is cooked, 5 to 7 minutes.
Stir in the shredded cabbage. Season with the salt, black pepper, and paprika. Continue cooking, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage is tender, 6 to 8 minutes more.
Notes
If using precooked bacon, the cabbage can be fried in melted butter or coconut oil instead of the bacon fat.
