Mix up the red meat from time to time with lamb. Ounce for ounce, it’s got more iron than beef, and I think seasoned ground lamb meat makes for a more satisfying burger. Just don’t drown it in ketchup! Serve them plain, in a lettuce wrap, or between two slices of Almond Flour Bread.
Combine the lamb, onion, garlic, cumin, salt, coriander, and black pepper in a large bowl and mix with your hands to blend well. Shape into 6 patties about ½ inch thick.
Cook the patties in a large skillet over medium-high heat, turning once, until the meat is browned outside and no longer pink inside, about 10 minutes. (They’re also great if you grill them.)
