Butter Fish

You don’t need much to make the flavor of cod or flounder pop. Just add a little butter, salt, and pepper and a squirt of lemon. Keeping it simple in the kitchen is the way to go!

Preheat the oven to 400°F. Dot the butter over the bottom of a rimmed sheet pan.

Season the fish with salt and black pepper. Place the fish fillets over the butter on the sheet pan and bake for 10 minutes.

Remove from the oven and baste the fish with the melted butter from the pan. Season both sides of the fish with the juice from the lemon and the seafood seasoning. Bake for another 10 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily.

Notes

A vegan butter substitute like butter-flavored coconut oil is a great way to enjoy this recipe without dairy.
