Turmeric and ginger are both known for their anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. Combining the two spices into a tea is not only flavorful but provides amazing health benefits.
Bring 2 cups water to a boil in a medium saucepan. Add the ginger, turmeric, cinnamon, and black pepper. Reduce the heat and simmer for about 10 minutes.
Strain the ginger out, if desired, and pour into large mugs. Add sweetener, if desired. Top each with a slice of lemon for garnish and flavor, if desired.
Notes
Dried stevia leaves work well as a sweetener in tea.
