THE INNER DIALOGUE CONNECTION

WHETHER IT IS THE PERCEPTION of our successes or failures, or whether it is our self-judgment or guilt or depression—our self-chatter gets in our way. Such is the destruction of negative self-talk, an artifact of language. We’re blessed with so much. We should be happy. Yet we analyze and relive past interactions, we emotionally narrate our experiences, we obsess about superficial concerns, worry over the imagined outcome of events. Then there are all the questions: what’s broken? What is it that is not working, not consistent, not resonating? Why can’t I get more done? When am I ever going to have time for all the things—the goals, the plans, the people I’ve been putting off? We wonder if there is something more. Except maybe it’s not about more.… Maybe it’s about relearning our old ancestral habits.
