Granddaughter GENTRY ANNE HOLLIS (Nashville, Tennessee) got the beginning of her name from her grandmother’s maiden name. SUSAN GENTRY WILLIAMS (also of Nashville) is known as Nana to Gentry Anne and her younger brother, Cal. This peanut butter pie is so easy to make that Gentry Anne and Cal only need a little help using the mixer. And for fun, they like to use a squeeze bottle filled with chocolate syrup to make faces on top of the pies.
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 ½ cups powdered sugar
1 cup peanut butter, extra crunchy
1 (16 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
2 (9 inch) prepared chocolate cookie or chocolate graham cracker piecrusts
1 Using a hand mixer, beat together the cream cheese and powdered sugar. Mix in the peanut butter. Beat until smooth. Fold in the whipped topping. Spoon the mixture into two 9-inch piecrusts, cover, and freeze until firm.
