MAKES 1 (9 × 13-INCH) CAKE
This is the perfect dessert to take to the holiday potluck. Pumpkin, nuts, and a splash of bourbon combine to make a rich, comforting dessert.
Preheat the oven to 350°F. Spray a 9 × 13-inch pan with nonstick cooking spray.
Spread the pumpkin puree evenly in the prepared pan. Drizzle the evaporated milk and bourbon evenly over the puree.
Sprinkle the cake mix evenly over the puree. Sprinkle the brown sugar evenly over the cake mix. Sprinkle the walnuts evenly over the brown sugar. Drizzle the butter evenly over the top.
Bake for 35 to 40 minutes or until the cake is set and golden brown. Allow to cool for 10 minutes.
Spoon into individual dessert dishes. Garnish, if desired, with a dollop of whipped cream.
