Get Up and Go Oats

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Cook Time: 20 to 25 minutes

Serves: 4

INGREDIENTS

3 cups water

1 cup steel-cut oats, certified gluten-free (rinsed and soaked overnight if desired)

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1 medium banana, sliced

4 tablespoons shelled walnuts

1 tablespoon unsweetened coconut flakes

DIRECTIONS

Step 1. In a medium pot, bring the water to a boil, add the oats, lower the heat to a simmer, add the cinnamon and cook for 20 to 25 minutes, until the oats are soft.

Step 2. Top with the banana, walnuts and coconut flakes.
