BRUNO LUCCHESI was born in Lucca, Italy. He studied at the Art Institute in Lucca and later in Florence. Since his arrival in the United States in 1957, his work has been added to the collections of the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Brooklyn Museum, the Dallas Museum, among others. Lucchesi has received awards from the National Academy, which elected him a member in 1975, the National Arts Club, the Architectural League, and was a Guggenheim Fellow 1962-3.

MARGIT MALMSTROM is a former Senior Editor at Watson-Guptill and has contributed articles to American Artist magazine. She received her BA from Bard College, where she studied sculpture under Harvey Fite, and she was a scholarship student at the National Academy in New York. She currently lives in New Mexico.
