Dylan (“It Was Like Cotton, but When I Touched It, It Was Just Ice”) was born in El Salvador in 2004. He immigrated to the United States in 2014, when he was ten. He currently lives with his mother, stepfather, and brother in Los Angeles, California.
Alejandro (“There Are Snakes Out There”) was born in Guatemala in 1996. He immigrated to the United States when he was fifteen, in 2012. He currently lives with his uncle in Queens, New York.
Miguel Ángel (“He and I Got Along Really Well”) was born in El Salvador in 1997. He immigrated to the United States in 2014, when he was seventeen years old. He currently lives with his uncle in New York.
Kayla (“La Cabuya”) was born in Honduras in 2001. She emigrated with her cousin and her eight-month-old niece in 2014, when she was thirteen years old. She currently lives with her aunt and uncle, her cousins, and her niece in the Bronx, New York.
Mariana (“Before and After”) was born in Guatemala in 1997. She immigrated to the United States in 2011, when she was fourteen. She currently lives with her mother, stepfather, and brothers in Queens, New York.
