Epilogue

easy. It would be to see Aunt Macee in Salt Lake City. That was if she and Briggs weren’t in Indiana learning how to churn butter with Trae Lae’s family. If that was the case, we would head west to California to meet up with Aunt Madeline and finally meet that gorgeous baby girl I have been going crazy to see.

And while we are in the area, kick Noah’s ass a time or two; one from me and one from Briggs.

“Honey, we’re home!” I swing open the screen door, and there is not that happy greeting Jenkins and I expected.

“What’s up with everybody? Where is that adorable little baby girl I have been loving from so many states away?”

Aunt Maddie shook her head at me, arms crossed, and Noah walked right past me, suitcase in hand and fishtailed his car out of the driveway.

“Where is he going?”

“Hopefully to find his balls. He basically shoved Laney out of our lives and into another man’s hands. Lakea, his daughter, was born two months ago and I’ve only ever seen a couple pictures since the hospital. He is ruining my life AJ, that asshole. Come inside and I will sage away the negativity.”
