After a varied career as an actor in theatre, film and television, John Abbott became a teacher of acting. He was Head of Acting at the ArtsEd School of Acting in London, where he taught Shakespeare, Stand Up and Improvisation, and directed many projects and productions. His other books are Improvisation in Rehearsal and The Acting Book, both published by Nick Hern Books.
