Piled in pounds.

Half a cup
Of cooling tea.
In the corridor
Cupboards
But no crowds.
In the hall
Abandoned
Apparatus.
In the classrooms
Unread books
And unpushed pencils.
In the infants
Lonely hamster
Wendy house to let;
Deserted Plasticine
Still waters
Silent sand.
In the meantime
