Chapter 22

A month later

I’m nailing the last picture on the wall in the new arcade when Brea skips into the room.

I smile as I glance at her from across the room.

She crosses her arms behind her and leans against the wall, a mischievous grin on her face and a twinkle in her eyes I can’t decipher.

“You look incredibly naughty, kitten,” I say as I hang the picture and straighten it. I turn to saunter toward her when I’m done.

“The girls are dying to see the new room,” she informs me. “They’re bouncing off the walls upstairs. What’s taking you so long?”

I set my hammer on top of one of the arcade games and grab her hips. I narrow my gaze at her. “Did you tell them about the room, naughty girl?”

She shakes her head. “No, Sir. I’ve never breathed a word. I promise. And it was hard. You made everyone wait for so long.”

She’s right. I could have revealed the room weeks ago, but when I realized I would be staying at the Ridge for longer than expected, I went to work on the second room at the same time. I decided they could all wait for the big reveal after the entire room was filled with arcade games I’ve acquired from all over the area.

I narrow my gaze. “Then what did you do? You look very sneaky. Did you do the sort of thing that will end with you sitting at the table all evening writing sentences, or should I flex my hand and prepare to spank your bottom?”

She giggles. “I got fired.”

My eyes widen. That wasn’t even close to what I expected her to say. “Pardon?”

She giggles again and rises onto her tiptoes, releasing her hands from behind her back to leap up into my arms.

I cup her bottom as she wraps her legs around me. Her hands come to my shoulders. “I went round and round with Leah and Amy. I tried to tell them that I didn’t want to leave them in a bind, but they said they can manage just fine without me until they find a replacement. When I argued that I would stay until they found someone, they fired me. Can you believe it?” Her eyes go wide with mock surprise.

She’s revealed all of this so fast, I’m struggling to catch up. “You quit?”

She shakes her head. “Weren’t you listening?” She gives a fake exasperated sigh. “I got fired.” She widens her eyes.

I chuckle. “Kitten, you couldn’t get fired from anywhere even if you did the most horrible job in the world. You’re too stinkin’ cute. No one would have the heart to fire you.”

She pouts.

My cock gets hard when she does that.

She threads her fingers in the back of my hair. “You’re done here, Daddy. We’re moving to Seattle.”

I’m going to need to sit down for this one. “We are?”

She nods. “I’m ready. I’m stronger now. I can move to your house. I won’t panic. I promise.” She chews on her lip for a second. “Well, maybe a little. But you’ll hold me in your lap and then I’ll be fine. We’ve been there three times now. The last time we stayed four days and I was fine, remember? Elaine is amazing. I love her. And I see your friend Walker sometimes. I know people.”

She keeps talking, so fast it’s hard to keep up with her. “And you said you have other friends with Little girls. I’ll meet them and then they will be my friends. I know they’ll like me.”

I grin at how much confidence she’s developed.

She continues. “Plus, I want to spend more time with my family, and it’s so far from here. If I were in Seattle, they could come to the house or I could go see them easier. Did I tell you Julie got her driver’s license?” Brea’s eyes go wide. “Can you believe it? Maybe I could do that too. Could I, Daddy?”

My eyes are wide. She’s given me so much information, ending with me picturing my Little girl driving. It kind of scares the fuck out of me, but like everything else, I can never tell her no. “We’ll talk about it.” I roll my eyes.

She giggles. “That’s a yes. I know it,” she declares. “So, see? It’s time to move to Seattle.”

A smile spreads across my face. I can’t stop it. “Are you sure?” I didn’t see this coming. I figured I would invent another project and we would continue living here for a while. Forever if she needed to.

“Positive. Besides, it’s already done. I got fired.” She says this again with emphasis. “I don’t have time to work anymore. I have to finish my school work and go to college. I can’t do that from here. I need to be in Seattle. I want to go to school on campus. Do you realize how much of the day I’ll need to spend studying?” she asks, her eyes wide as if she’s the first human to attend school.

I chuckle. “I’m aware, kitten. So, you’re going to go to college, huh?” I grin at her. I’ve been suggesting this for weeks.

Now that my Little girl can read at a much higher level, it’s impossible to drag her out of her books. I’ve had to spank her more than once when I’ve caught her reading when she’s supposed to be napping or working on other classes.

I’m pretty sure reading has replaced masturbating when she’s in her Little girl room presumably napping. She doesn’t get to masturbate at night anymore either because she’s been sleeping in my arms ever since we returned to the Ridge from Seattle.

I love holding her all night, and she finally gets better sleep with my warm body against hers. I do have to contend with a pile of stuffies on the other side of her and Violet, but it’s worth it.

She even sleeps naked with me sometimes. She’s gotten far more comfortable in her skin. I’m pretty sure it helps when I’m also naked. She stares at me like I’m a Greek God, and who am I to argue with her assessment? I’m not opposed to strutting around the bedroom naked, knowing she’s following me with her gaze.

I’m grinning as she rambles on about what classes she wants to take. Sounds like English is her favorite and she’d like to be a teacher someday. I’m not surprised.

As soon as she takes a breath, I cover her mouth with mine. I kiss her until she’s moaning and grinding her pussy against me. When I break free of her lips, I lean my forehead against hers. “I love you so much, kitten.”

“I love you too, Daddy.” She squirms to free herself and slides down my body to stand on the floor. “If we don’t let Leah and Amy come down in the next five seconds, they’re going to get into big trouble and end up with very sore bottoms. They’re anxious.”

I chuckle. “We can’t have sore bottoms.” I lift her hand to my lips and kiss her knuckles. “Go get them.”

She turns around and races back up the stairs.

I’m grinning from ear to ear as I watch her. She’s my heart and soul. She’s so happy. She’s seeing a group counselor with her family once a week. It’s helping a lot. They’re all processing and learning and finding a new path.

They have shed a lot of tears, but they’re healthy, necessary tears.

I worried at first that Brea might want to go be with them and help them, but she’s never wavered on that, insisting she belongs with me and only me.

I’m blessed beyond measure.

My sweet Little kitten has quit her job to move to Seattle with me. My heart is so full.

The sound of giggling girls makes me smile even broader.

Tonight is going to be loud and crazy and so much fun, and I’m such a lucky man that I get to be here with my girl while she laughs and plays with her friends.
