Self-Reflection

As you have seen, there are a lot of rules to keep in mind when preparing a strong piece of writing, such as a forceful, concise, and correct police report. Problems such as wordiness, redundancies, needless qualifications, and vague language should be avoided. Inappropriate use of clichés, jargon, slang, and colloquialisms could also pose problems. All of these rules may seem a bit overwhelming at first, but practicing the kinds of questions that could appear on the police exam is a good way to get familiar with them.
