Epilogue
Today, Gamma is a whole new world. Mase now talks a smidge more than he used to without the Gabber Gum or my “Truth B. Told” crown or any other artificial aid, and Adam is now a special investigative reporter for the Gamma Gazette. Not only did Bridge’s eye heal, but so did her heart, especially after she found out that B-Dawg really had pulled a groin muscle and had actually asked her to the dance on his own accord. And now he’s invited her to attend his cello recital.
Jimbo and Traci have been breaking clique boundaries and are dating. People have been calling them the “hybrid couple.” And even though I lost Regionals, the science department got major press when the documentary aired. Rod even gave me a “special thanks” at the end of the documentary. Can you believe it? The science department was championed for helping to invent “Science with a Conscience” and has been awarded quite a bit of funding.
Oh, and as far as Venus and Bart, well, they are now responsible for cleaning and maintaining all the new fish tanks that have been purchased by the department. Bart got suspended for attacking Venus and doesn’t get to do anything sports related until next year.
Dr. Hamrock must really love his fish because he bought fourteen tanks. But I think the most amazing thing that I’ve learned this year so far came from Susan. I found out that she knew all along that people called her Jabba and she really didn’t care. In fact, she had thought it was so funny that people spent that much time thinking about her that that’s why she created her superhero character. J-girl actually stands for Jabba-girl!
And these days, Susan has returned to her old hairstyle and clothes, because, well, she actually likes it. However, she did request that I make more jelly beans because she says she likes to look Latina, like me (even though she’s redheaded and freckled!).
I can’t believe it’s almost March. Now that the Student Council has just announced that a Sadie Hawkins Spring Fling Dance is coming up, Bridge and I decided that we want to have spiral curls for that dance and we’ve started to develop a formula for that but we are only doing testing on weekends. As a surprise for Swen, I’m working on some electronic rhythm zapatos for him so that when he takes me to the dance we can actually dance. I mean, I’m Latina and dancing is like breathing for me and I really need to shake my Gamma Glamma this time and represent. I wonder what shoe size he wears?
