Dear Mr Keon

Sometimes my shoulder and hand still hurts. I had to stay in the hospital for sick kids for three days and I had to go back to change the bandages. I also had a cast. It was much smaller than Catwoman’s was so I could not get many things signed on it. After I got out of the hospital I had to go to a foster home. I thought that was unfair because father just came back. Barbra said Jane and I almost died under our mother and father’s care. Until mother and father could prove they could work together and keep us safe and mother stops drinking I would have to stay with the foster family. My sister Jane was already there. I was really scared about it for so long but it is not so bad. I finally got to eat beefarowknee and the foster mother has dessert everyday. Jane and I have our own rooms. I showed it to Catwoman. I have two posters of you and one of the Fantastic Four and of the Mod Squad but that one was from who ever lived here before. Barbra let Catwoman visit me at my foster parents. She was going to sign my cast Johnny On the Spot because she says it means one who responds to an emergency and somebody you can count on. I said that was nice but it also means a porta potty. She said you are right and we both laughed. She dared me to let her sign and I did and she signed it with beautiful printing.

She told me Sidney the cat finally returned. It looked like he got into some scraps because fur was missing and there were scratches. Catwoman thinks he probably got into another animal’s territory. Animals may wander but they need to belong somewhere she said. She also said that even cats need a home of their own. Certainly people do and we’ll do crazy things to find it.

I guess that means everybody. Rollie the FLQ Barry me Jane. I always listen to make sure my sister is ok and I always make sure I know where she is at home and school and everywhere else. I look for matches and lighters even though nobody in the house smokes. Just in case. Jane has to go talk to someone about why she hid her sadness and to let her feelings out better. I let her guard all my toys and hockey cards.

Your friend,

Johnny Wong
