Candice Bushnell
1 oz. vodka
1 oz. triple sec
1½ oz. cranberry juice
½ oz. fresh lime juice
1 lime wheel, for garnish
Chill a cocktail glass in the freezer.
Place the vodka, triple sec, cranberry juice, and lime juice in a cocktail shaker, fill it two-thirds of the way with ice, and shake until chilled.
Strain into the chilled glass, garnish with the lime wheel, and enjoy.
Bushnell was the author of a 1990s column for The New York Observer that became the basis for the wildly popular television series, Sex and the City. She’s also written a number of novels, some of which have also been adapted for television.
Bushnell is, by her own admission, quite fond of the Cosmopolitan, and has even posted her method for making her “Belvedere Cosmo” on her Instagram page. The Cosmo is a tasty combination of vodka, an orange liqueur (such as triple sec), cranberry juice, and lime juice, shaken with ice and poured into a glass. A garnish of a lime and/or skewered fruits makes for a nice-looking, delicious drink.
