For this project, we will use the Samsung Gear VR for the final application. The Gear VR has several advantages over Google Cardboard, most notably a rugged and comfortable form factor, wider field of view, straps for easy fitting, volume controls, and integrated buttons for interaction. It is also powered by Oculus and links to Oculus Home, an interactive desktop and menu system used to browse and launch new and previously purchased applications:
