Introduced in 1932, the name comes from the design motif which features a wide band that encloses spiky leaves, vines, and pods, often in dripping glazes of green, blue, orange, and yellow. Backgrounds are mainly green or pink, rarely blue. Pieces are unmarked or have a foil label.
