Banks
Because they were usually given to youngsters, these banks rarely survived without some damage, and many were broken to get at the money inside. Dating from the early 1900s, shapes included cats, dogs, pigs, birds, and even a buffalo and Uncle Sam. They were simply and crudely glazed in mottled brown, yellow, green, and red, and were unmarked.
