Carnelian
I and II
Carnelian I and II are distinctly different in both shape and color. Carnelian I, circa 1910, has dripping glazes in shapes based on classical vessels. Colors include gray, dull green, blue, and a yellow that’s more of an ochre. Ink stamps are common, but some are unmarked.
Carnelian II, circa 1915, are generally heavier and simpler in appearance and the mottled, dripping glazes include amber, green, purple, red, pink, teal, and mauve. Pieces are unmarked or have a paper label.
