The first year after we’d finished the renovation of the Breeze Inn, three of our favorite Atlanta couples came down over Valentine’s Day weekend for a house party. Since the restaurant options back then were fairly limited, the husbands volunteered to cook an elegant dinner for the wives. Over the years, the guys have upped their epicurean game considerably, and the location varies from house to house—sometimes Atlanta, sometimes Tybee. Last year, at our friends the Tresslers’, the printed menu, designed by our talented graphic artist friend Don Connelly, was so hysterical that we all had copies framed for posterity.
