ABOUT OUR WRITERS

After being hired sight unseen by a South Florida newspaper, Fort Lauderdale– based freelance travel writer and editor Lynne Helm arrived from the Midwest anticipating a few years of palm-fringed fun. More than a quarter century later (after covering the state for several newspapers, consumer magazines, and trade publications), she’s still enamored of Florida’s sun-drenched charms. Lynne updated the Everglades chapter.

Updating the Florida Keys and much of the Lower Gulf Coast is Miami native, Jill Martin . She resides full time in the Redland and part time on Sanibel.
