A cup of this steamy spiced cider will keep you hot under the collar, just like the dangerous Dug. It’s a cozy warm-up on a cold winter’s night.

1. In a large saucepan, combine the apple juice, nutmeg, one of the cinnamon sticks, and the cloves. Gently heat the cider for 10 minutes without boiling.
2. Place one cinnamon stick in a mug. Ladle cider into the mug, leaving the cloves in the saucepan. Repeat with three more mugs, and top each with whipped cream.
3. After the cider has cooled a bit, drink through the cinnamon-stick “straw.”
