I’m such a lucky writer. The fates have granted me a team that works hard to bring the Webb’s Glass Shop Mystery series to life. My agent, Beth Campbell of BookEnds, LLC, is my champion in all things practical in the crazy ever-changing world of publishing. My editor at Kensington, Mercedes Fernandez, has an infectious enthusiasm that inspires me to work harder to bring each book to a better place. I am so grateful for the creativity that marketing manager Morgan Elwell brings to the team in spreading the word through advertising.
My freelance publicist at Breakthrough Promotions, PJ Nunn, and her marvelous team have lined up events and promotional venues that I love and truly appreciate.
I owe many thanks for the continuing support and inspiration of the Sisters in Crime online chapter, the Guppies (the Great Unpublished). The mystery-writing community is incredibly generous with time, energy, and advice.
Having a face-to-face critique group is an incredible resource for good guidance. We have been meeting since 2007 and continue to strengthen each other’s work. Big thanks go to Amy Jordan, Krista Rickard, and Sam Falco. See you next month under the cone of silence.
Webb’s Glass Shop is roughly based on the actual Grand Central Stained Glass shop owned by Bradley and Eloyne Erickson. Thank you both for many wonderful hours of instruction, advice, and patience. I am thankful to everyone who helped me make this story as accurate as possible, but any errors that remain are mine alone.
Without a doubt, I have been inspired to write by my personal muse, Joye Barnes. Her unfailing enthusiasm has spurred me to try harder and harder to tell a good story. When I’m stuck, I just imagine what Joye would like to hear and my fingers fly across the keys. Thanks as well to her close group of supportive friends at the woodland cottage.
Having the total support of my family is as important to me as the writing itself. I appreciate it Eric, Jennifer, Aaron, Beth, Ethan, Lena Rose, Mister, Pepper, Ricky, and Snowy.
My husband, George, is my biggest fan, a tireless supporter, my first reader, and the love of my life. He makes my heart sing.
