This is the highest-level view of the project. This is the big picture for anyone within or outside the project so that they know what the project is going to achieve at a high level. As we explained in the previous chapter, project goals are defined in the project charter and the approach to achieving these goals is defined using the project plan.
A quick mathematical expression for viewing a project from top to bottom is as follows:
