ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS

Our first acknowledgement always goes to our own fun-loving family, surrounding us with their brilliant humor throughout our lives. Although all of the last generation are gone now, we keep their spirits alive in our hearts and in the characters we write about. Our wise and witty mother Rosetta who was still smiling at 97, our comical father Al who loved to dress in costumes, Uncle Sol who, at 70, was still going on 17, Aunt Edna and her indomitable spirit, dear, sweet Aunt Jean who would carry a bug outside rather than hurt it—our characters bring all of their qualities and quirks to life on these pages. Our greatest fan was our cousin Barbara, who was raised with us and felt like a sister. Sadly, she left us far too soon in 2014, but we know she’s enjoying the Silver Sisters’ latest escapades from above.

As we continue to create more crime capers involving the zany Silver family, we want to acknowledge all of the fans who have expressed their love for the twins’ feisty octogenarian mother and uncle, Flossie and Sterling. We listened to you, and the oldsters have the starring roles in this book.

Many thanks to a retired FBI agent, who asked to remain anonymous, for his ongoing help whenever we needed his input for a scene. He has always been there for us, and if he doesn’t know the answer, he reaches out to ask one of his knowledgeable colleagues.
