In general, with all of our recipes, we recommend the use of organic fruits and vegetables, dairy products, eggs, and humanely raised meats whenever possible. All grains, especially quinoa, should be thoroughly rinsed prior to cooking. When a recipe calls for olive oil, we recommend extra-virgin olive oil (EVOO). When a recipe calls for salt, we prefer sea salt. When a recipe calls for broth, we recommend low-sodium (or homemade). When we use anything like deli meat or bacon (turkey or pork) we always recommend you make sure it is nitrate and nitrite-free.
