48. What will happen to people who don’t obey the Bible?

A:

Have you ever seen kids do bad stuff—big and little—and get away with it? Maybe you wish they would stop. Or maybe you wonder if you should join them.

Guess what? Anyone who disobeys God’s commands in the Bible will come to a sad ending. God won’t let people do wrong things forever. In Psalm 73:18 we read, “You put them on a slippery path and send them sliding over the cliff to destruction.” We also read, “You are holding my right hand…How good it is to be near God! I have made the Sovereign LORD my shelter” (verses 23,28). So while you wait for evil to come to an end, keep doing what’s right and trusting God to take care of you. It’s smart to be on God’s side!

I was jealous of proud people. I saw wicked people doing well…Then I understood what will happen to them. You have put them in danger; you cause them to be destroyed.
