PACKAGING FROM THE 1960s
Packaging similarly changed to streamline messaging and incorporate bolder colors. The wagons, scooters, and wheel-barrows of the classic Radio Line now all came in similar eye-catching boxes designed in black, white, and “Radio Flyer Red,” and sported the new company logo. A handy description of all of the parts each box contained was listed front and center on each self-service carton, allowing customers to see that they could take it all home in one piece.
In the 1960s, Radio Steel developed all-new packaging for its Radio Line products, designed for easy point-of-purchase display.
